In the early morning hours of the day many dwellers in the dark enjoy their sources of dopamine. Whether that be from their digital recreations of wartime events, science fiction experiences that flirt with the weird and exotic, or the high fantasy that allows you to let go even just for a little while. Games, literature, scripts, audios, they all offer small windows into worlds we wish so badly we could plunge ourselves into, it’s a freefall we all knowingly hang back from fully leaping from, equipped with the knowledge of the flat ground that waits at the bottom.
The dance between fiction and reality is a tightrope, that admittedly the thinner it becomes the more interesting it gets. Thrills join romance, horror copulates with erotica and suddenly that rock bottom doesn’t seem so bad set to the keystrokes of joy and momentary bliss. So even though it’s cold, even though it isn’t her style, even if every cell in her body tells her not to;
What’s one more dance along the wire, little moondrop?
