Cyrus is an employee of AverieEntertainment, the company that produces the hit full-immersion VR MMORPG Reverie. He lives in a tiny apartment, spends 12 hours a day minimum coding, and can’t stand the game he helps make. All he wants is to be an artist and creative writer, but he’s spinning his wheels coding other peoples’ ideas — until a chance encounter makes him reconsider his life and what’s he’s doing.

Kelda is an amnesiac, a demonkin woman who somehow found her way into a hidden realm and lost her memories in the process. Though she’s escaped with the aid of a strange faerie named Kyth, she still has no idea who she was. As she tries to put the pieces of a shattered life back together, she learns that much more than her memories are riding on the process. In her hands, Kelda holds the fate and freedom of the entire world.
